UP Govt to host grand ‘Mahakumbh Conclave’ in New Delhi
The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has intensified preparations to ensure the grand success of Mahakumbh 2025.
Noisy scenes were witnessed in the UP Assembly on the first day of the Budget Session when Opposition members hurled paper balls towards the podium.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed opposition parties for creating a ruckus in the state assembly on Tuesday by raising slogans against Governor Ram Naik.
“The way slogans were raised against the Governor and SP members threw paper balls at him is condemnable,” Adityanath said.
“We condemn the behaviour of SP and BSP members in front of the Governor. Now you can imagine what kind of system these people want,” the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader added.

The joint sitting of the state legislature was being addressed by Governor Ram Naik.
Reports say that members of SP and BSP started raising slogans as soon as the Governor began reading out his speech shouting ‘Rajyapal Wapas Jao (Governor Go Back)’.
Slogans were also raised against the BJP and Adityanath alleging that the ruling government is anti-farmer and that the law and order in UP is in tatters.
Both parties had in January this year entered into an alliance to take on the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in the next couple of months.
The annual budget will be presented on 7 February by UP Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal. The session is likely to conclude on February 22.
